Saudi Arabia opens only 2 airports to Qatari pilgrims
Saudi Arabia announced that Qatari pilgrims will be allowed access to Saudi Arabia via two designated airports only, Al Jazira local online newspaper reported on Sunday.
Saudi’s Hajj and Omra Ministry confirmed that pilgrims and Omra performers from Qatar should arrive only at King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Medina.
The country has announced last week that Qatari pilgrims can come via any but the Qatari airline.
In June, Saudi denied the ban on the entry of Qatari nationals to Muslim’s holy city of Mecca, after announcing in the same month to cut ties with Qatar.
Saudi Arabia, together with Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Egypt, have cut ties with Qatar, accusing the latter of supporting terrorists and interfering in the internal affairs of other countries.
