Saudi Arabia Pledges Continued Support for Somalia’s Stability

GOOBJOOG NEWS | RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has reaffirmed its support for Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity during talks in Riyadh between the foreign ministers of the two countries.

Somali Foreign Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali met his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, to discuss regional developments and issues related to Somalia’s unity and stability.

Abdisalam welcomed what he described as Saudi Arabia’s consistent backing of Somalia, praising Riyadh’s political support and solidarity with the Somali people.

Prince Faisal reiterated the kingdom’s rejection of any actions that could undermine Somalia’s sovereignty, stressing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the country’s security and long-term stability, according to the statement.

The two ministers also discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation across several sectors and enhancing coordination on matters of shared regional interest.
