Security Beefed Up in Laas Anod Ahead of State Formation Conference

GOOBJOOG NEWS|LAAS ANOD: Security in Laascaanood, the capital of Sool region and seat of SSC-Khaatumo administration, has been significantly tightened as the finalization conference for the new administration opens today.

SSC‑Khaatumo security agencies have issued strict directives: weapons and unauthorized vehicles are banned inside the city, and the number of protective details around visiting officials is limited.

The Ministry of Security says harsh measures will be taken against anyone failing to comply with these orders and security procedures, according to a recent statement.

Federal officials and delegations from Sanaag Region are present in Laascaanood to participate in the conference aimed at completing the SSC‑Khaatumo regional government structure.
