Security Forces Arrest 12 Al-Shabaab Militants in Baidoa

GOOBJOOG NEWS | BAIDOA: The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has paraded 12 members of the Al-Shabaab militant group, who were arrested by security forces in Baidoa.
NISA said the suspects who were arrested in an extensive operation by national security forces in Baidoa city and its surroundings were extorting money from members of the public in the region.
The Intelligence Agency added that the suspects will be charged in the military court to face justice for the crimes committed against members of the public.
Security and intelligence officers from the South West state of Somalia are continuing with operations in the region to ensure security is maintained.
