Security forces arrests dozens in Jowhar

Federal government forces launched heavy security operations in Jowhar, the headquarters of the Middle Shabele region on Thursday.

As our reporter in the Middle Shabele  Adan Hussein Daud says most of those  arrested  during the operations were youth.

Security operation was carried out  after  unknown gunmen wounded a civilian in Howl Wadag village last night.

Dozens of parents whose children were apprehended by the forces during the security operation  gathered around  the police station.

Thorough investigations are underway as the Commander of Jowhar police  Abdiweli Mohamed confirmed to Gob Jog FM.
