Security forces conduct operations in Huriwaa district

The security forces of federal government have this morning launched a heavy security operation in Huriwaa district of Banaadir region, following yesterdays blast in the area that killed a senior security official named Ahmed Abdurahman.

Local  resident told the media that, the operation is ongoing on in areas  SOS, Ramadan Hotel, EX Control and  Suuqa Xoolaha after yesterdays  Landmine explosion in Ramadan Area he concluded.. nobody was detained so far, he added.

Apart from the government’s disarmament campaign,  the security agencies were these days conducting operations and in search of al-shabab members to maintain the overall security of the city.

Ahmed Abdurahman died after his car was targeted with the bomb explosion as he was driving near the S.O.S hospital in the northern district of Huriwaa on Thursday afternoon.
