Security forces thwart Al-Shabaab attack in Puntland

GOOBJOOG NEWS | PUNTLAND: Somali Police Force Monday thwarted an attempted Al-shabaab attack at Bosaso City in Puntland State.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Puntland State Government, a division of the Somali Police Force, successfully intervened and prevented the plot by the militants which targeted a construction company.

Security agencies in Somalia are actively investigating the incident and are actively pursuing the perpetrators so as to bring them to justice.  

This underscores the unified efforts of the Somali Police Force, operating at both the State and Central Government levels, in protecting citizens from the threats posed by the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab.
