Security meeting was held in Buurhakaba
Security meeting between southwest leader, Shariif Hassan Sheikh, SNA commanders and officials from AMISOM, the administration of Buurhakaba town was held in Buurhakaba, the capital city of Interim South West State.
At the opening of the gathering, SNA commanders have highlighted the outcomes of security operations carried out in the region and the challenges they faced during the operations.
Matters concerning heightened security measures were broadly covered, obstacles discussed and further solutions formulated.
Southwest leader has commended the tireless work of the SNA and AMISOM troops and urged them to keep up their work to flush out Al-Shabab fighters.
“The joint forces have done a lot. They have diminished the strength of Al-Shabab fighters in the region therefore we urge them keep their efforts to safeguard the security of the citizens, leaders as well as the administrative capital of the State” said Shariif Hassan.
Meanwhile the President of Puntland Government has on Friday wrapped up training for more than 200 soldiers who were converged from different towns of Southwest state..
In a closing ceremony held in Buurhakaba town, President Shariif Hassan Sheikh along with senior Government officials including Buurhakaba district commissioner, Ali Hassanand several other officials had attended the event.
Addressing the soldiers who have wrapped up the training, Shariif Hassan applauded their commitment to serve their country, encouraging them to abide by the law.
