Security Operations in Galkacyo Town
Puntland’s security force in Galkacyo town has launched operations to hunt down people accused of dealing with drugs and security threats in the town.
The operation was planned, and arrested by youths accused of selling drugs and also conducting insecurity operations in the town.
Mohamud Yasin Tumey, the mayor of Galkayo town of Puntland, told the media that the operation was arrested by youths who were accused of security threats in Galkacyo town.
Seven people were arrested in the operation where two of them were accused of drug dealers according to the mayor of Galcayo.
“We have been engaged in several houses in Gaalkacyo who are selling drugs to young children of underage, and were accused of stealing phones at night in the town.”
The mayor of Galkayo has called on residents of the town to closely work with security agencies and report any threats to security in the town.
