Senator Abdi Ahmed Hashi “ONLF cannot be recognized as Terrorist”

Senator Ahmed Hashi, one of the members of the Somali parliament, said the ONLF cannot be recognized as a terrorist organization.

He said that he was saddened by the federal government’s allegiance to the ONLF, as the world didn’t recognize it as a terrorist.

“We were surprised to find the decision of the cabinet, and we talked about it as a Somali citizen who was born and grew up in Somalia, and it has contributed to the issue of joining an organization called ONLF terror, The international community does not recognize the meaning of terrorism when it comes to an international recognition, people fighting for their rights and terrorism are two different things, the ONLF cannot be recognized as terrorists, it can be recognized as a lawful right “, said Senator Ahmed Hashi

Senator Ahmed said: “We are in the Parliament, Somalia’s citizenship rights issue is not something easy to play, it’s all bigger than others. they are people who struggled for Somalia and we cannot deny the right of a Somali citizen in any situation ”
