Seven Al-Shabaab Militants Killed in SNA Operation in Galmudug State

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Seven Al-shabaab militants have been killed in an operation by the Somali National Army supported by local forces in Ali-Adhole area near Eldher district in Galmudug State.

During the operation conducted early Wednesday, the national forces also destroyed the militant’s base in the area and recovered various weapons.

The federal government in a statement said the joint operation demonstrates the effective collaboration between the Somali military and local communities in the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab.

It adds that this effort aims to eliminate the terrorist group’s presence and influence in the region and that the National Armed Forces continue to engage in targeted operations to ensure the safety and stability of the region.

This successful operation is part of a broader strategy by the federal government of Somalia to weaken Al-Shabaab’s capabilities and liberate areas controlled by the militant group, contributing to the overall security and development of Somalia.
