Slain Galmudug lawmaker pulled a pistol forcing bodyguard to fire-Federal MP Abukaato

Galmudug state assembly MP was killed Wednesday after a bodyguard attached to the Federal MP Mohamed Abukaato opened fire on the slain lawmaker’s vehicle.

Abukaato told Goobjoog News Mohamed Abdi Guled’s vehicle hit his from behind and did not hold back despite warning from the security guards. “He hit us from behind and my security team asked him to stop but instead he pulled out his pistol forcing the guards to fire at him.

The Galmudug lawmaker succumbed to injuries after being rushed to Digfer Hospital. Abukaato said he handed over the bodyguard and the firearm to the CID headquarters.

The incident took placed at Sayid Junction some metres away from the entrance of Parliament building.
