Those who killed Ikran were also behind Amina’s murder-PM Roble

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Mohamed Roble has pointed fingers at the killers of former spy agent Ikran Farah for the murder of vocal opposition MP Amina Mohamed. 

Prime Minister Roble revealed during a funeral service for the decease MP Wednesday night that Mohamed, who died in a car bomb in Beletweyne on March 23 were was murdered by the same people who killed the former intelligence agent. 

An emotional Roble, narrated how Amina Abdi was targeted for her staunch stance in seeking justice for slain National Intelligence Security Agency (NISA) cyber security chief Ikraan Tahlil Farah,  following her disappearance on 26 June 2021 and subsequent death.

Prime Minister Roble said that he backed Amina on her course for justice for Ikraan and that he would not relent in his efforts of seeking justice for the former NISA employee, adding that he believed without any iota of doubt that the killers of Ikran were the very same ones who had ended the life of the fierce Farmaajo critic.

“I believe that Amina was killed by an unjust hand, which was behind the assassination of IkranTahliil Farah,” said Mr Roble.

Roble then went ahead to reveal chilling details of messages from individuals who had threatened the life of the late MP and other individuals who had shown interest in some seats in Beletweyne hours before the killing of Amina, adding that he had also received threats and that if it meant he would die too for seeking justice for Ikraan, then he was ready to pay the price.

”After I agreed with Gudlawe Hussein on the removal of the HirShabelle SEIT commissioner, I received intimidation messages, threatening me to face consequences” said Roble, adding that his call for the opening of the seat that had been closed to Amina had touched a raw nerve.

Prime Minister Roble also announced that once the new government comes in, all the perpetrators of the heinous murders of MP Amina and Ikraan would be brought to justice.
