SNA avert attack in Kismayo, shoot dead suicide bomber

GOOBJOOG NEWS/KISMAYO: Somali National Army forces averted a bomb attack in Kismayo Wednesday night after arresting a suicide bomber who was reportedly on course to launch an attack at the coastal city,

The Danab special forces shot dead the driver of the vehicle who was suspected of being a suicide bomber near Berhano village in Kismayo city, Jubaland State.

The forces seized a detonator and an assortment of bomb materials. 

The Al-Shabaab group, which is linked to Al-Qaeda, has been fighting to overthrow Somalia’s federal government and launches frequent attacks against the security forces as well as government and civilian targets.
