SNA Displays Weapons Captured in Fight Against Al-Shabaab in Lower Juba Region

GOOBJOOG NEWS|LOWER JUBA REGION: Security forces in the Juba regions have displayed a cache of weapons seized during fighting with the militant group Al-Shabaaab.

During the fighting, 48 Al-Shabaab militants were killed while others were captured alive.

Among the weapons captured were sub-machine guns and AK-47 riffles.

Defence Minister Ahmed Fiqi said Wednesday up to 120 militants were killed during the week in Hiiraan, Lower Juba, Lower Shabelle and Middle Shabelle regions.
