SNA forces inflicts heavy losses on Al-shabaab militants in Baidoa

GOOBJOOG NEWS | BAIDOA: The Somali National Army have inflicted heavy losses on Al-shabaab militants in after a heavy battle near Baidoa city in Bay region.

According to government sources, the militants launched an attack at the national forces’ bases located at Wargaduud and Xanano areas located North of Baidoa.

The National forces however retaliated and thwarted the attack, killing an unconfirmed number of the militants in the battle that lasted for about two hours

The battle came as the national forces have intensified attacks targeting to eliminate the Al-Shabaab militants from the South West region where the militants are still believed to enjoy some dominance.
