SNA Forces Kill 9 Al-Shabaab Militants in Galgadud and Middle Shabelle Regions

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Somali National Army backed by its international partners Wednesday killed 9 Al-Shabaab militants and Wounded 10 others in separate operations in Galgadud and Middle Shabelle regions.

According to government officials, the planned operations executed by the combined forces, targeted the militants’ strongholds and hideouts in the two regions.

During the operation, the National Armed Forces and their international allies also managed to destroy two crucial assets of the militant group including a water tank truck used for logistical support and a machine gun-mounted car utilized for offensive purposes.

The government officials added that the operation outlines the federal government’s commitment to flush out all Al-Shabaab operatives in all parts of Somalia to ensure normalcy is restored in the country.
