SNA forces raid Al-Shabaab bases in Lower Jubba region

GOOBJOOG NEWS | LOWER JUBBA: The Somali National Army forces Wednesday conducted targeted operations on Al-shabaab militant bases in the Lower Jubba region.

The operation targeted several areas where the terrorist group had established bases and harassed the local population including Yaaq-Halul, Qod-Qod, Beer-Hani, and Quddus.

According to Major Arab Dheeg Ahmed, who led the operation, the army destroyed the militants’ bases and cleared the areas of all threats including explosive devices which may have been laid by the terrorists.

He said that the operation was part of the ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to eliminate Al-Shabaab from  all parts of the country and restore peace and stability.
