SNA, Jubaland Forces Kill Over 25 Al-Shabaab Militants in Lower Juba

GOOBJOOG NEWS|LOWER JUBA: Over 25 Al-Shabaab militants were killed in a joint operation between the Somali National Army and Jubaland Security Forces.

Military sources said the militants were killed in the Bulo-Haji area in the Lower Juba region in a coordinated offensive conducted by the federal and state forces.

Among those killed were senior Al-Shabaab figures in command of the group in the Lower Juba region. According to sources, the militants had been responsible for disruption of economic activities, including farming and trade.

The federal and state forces have conducted several operations against Al-Shabaab in the Middle and Lower Juba regions in recent months dislodging the group from several strongholds.
