SNA kills 18 Al-shabaab militants in Buq Aqable

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Somali National Army killed at least 18 Al-shabaab militants and destroyed 20 vehicles in an operation at Buq Aqable in Hiran region.

The latest operation marks another success against the militants as the government continues its operation aimed at restoring peace and stability in Somalia.

The government forces with support from its international partners also liberated two towns, Bulo Fulay in Bay region and Galhareri in Galgudud which were previously under the control of the militant.

The operation in Buq Aqable followed a well-coordinated strategy that dismantled al-Shabaab’s infrastructure in the town.

The SNA forces also eliminated some top-ranking Al-shabaab members in the operation that targeted a garage which was used to keep vehicles by the militants – dealing a logistical blow to the terrorist organization.

Over the past week, more than 10 locations have been targeted in precision strikes, leading to the deaths of several terrorists, the destruction of explosives depots, confiscation of arms caches, and the obliteration of several vehicles across different regions.
