SNA Rebels Alshabab Attack on Jalalaqsi District

Somalia National Army (SNA) has rebelled an attack by Alshabab fighters in Jalalaqsi, Hiiraan region.

Sources said that Alshabab fighters tried to penetrate SNA defenses and overrun bases as it was in the case of Lego weeks ago, but SNA has successfully pushed back the fighters.

Alshabab has scaled up attacks on government and AMISOM bases in parts of Somalia, and has caused considerable damage.

AMISOM maintains that they would remain intact with the recovered areas and would not give up an inch to Alshabab, this is despite the group taking over territories withdrawn by AMISOM.
