SoDMA Delivers Medical aid to Janale Hospital
GOOBJOOG NEWS | LOWER SHABELLE: Somali National Disaster Management Authority (SoDMA) has delivered medical aid to Janale Regional Hospital in the Lower Shabelle region to assist thousands of people who have been affected by floods.
The Janale administration chairperson who received the donations expressed his gratitude to SoDMA saying the medicine will help the local hospital treat the patients who have suffered from various diseases and injuries caused by the floods.
The hospital’s director said that the hospital was doing its best to provide quality health care to the flood victims, despite the challenges and difficulties.
The El Niño floods and the river floods have displaced more than 300,000 people in the Lower Shabelle region, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). The floods have also destroyed crops, livestock, infrastructure, and livelihoods, leaving many people in need of food, water, shelter, and health care.
