GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) has deployed medical teams, ambulances, and essential medicines to the Hiran and Middle Shabelle regions to provide critical healthcare support amid ongoing military operations against Al-Shabaab.

According to a statement from SoDMA, the dispatched medical personnel will be stationed at Adale District Hospital and will extend their assistance to key areas, including Moqokori, Aden Yabaal, Haji Ali, Guulane, and Cali Gaduud Mosque.

These locations are at the forefront of counterterrorism efforts led by Somali government forces and allied local militias.

This initiative follows SoDMA’s recent delivery of medical supplies to Jalalaqsi District in Hiran, ensuring the treatment of wounded soldiers and civilians in urgent need of care.

Dr. Abdullahi Muse Ahmed, SoDMA’s Health Director, who accompanied the team delivering medical personnel and supplies, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting security forces and affected communities.

He emphasized that ensuring timely medical aid to those on the frontlines is vital as Somalia continues its fight against terrorism.

The deployment highlights the Somali government’s dedication to both military success and humanitarian assistance in conflict-affected regions.
