Soldier executed in Gedo for killing civilian

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GEDO: A military officer who was accused of shooting dead an auto-rickshaw driver in March 2021 was today executed in Gedo region.

Officials in Luuq district in Gedo region confirmed that Abdi Hassan Dhafoor faced the firing squad for killing Sugow Garane Iyow on March 3, 2020 in Luuq.

The execution follows the trial and subsequent sentencing by a military court.
