Somali Ambassador Commends Community’s Role during Visit to Kisumu, Kenya

GOOBJOOG NEWS | KISUMU: Somalia’s Ambassador to Kenya, Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, hailed the Somali community in Kisumu as a dynamic and vital contributor to the city’s economy and cultural landscape, following a recent visit.
In remarks after meeting local leaders and residents, Ambassador Abdulle said the Somali diaspora in Kisumu had not only strengthened commerce but also fostered social cohesion, embodying what he called “the power of diversity.”
“The Somali community here is an integral part of Kisumu’s history and its future. Their entrepreneurial spirit and deep-rooted ties to the city are commendable,” he said.
Ambassador Abdulle pledged the continued support of the Somali Embassy in Nairobi and affirmed his commitment to working closely with local and county authorities to ensure the community’s development and well-being.
He also expressed gratitude to Kisumu’s leadership for their hospitality and ongoing support to Somali residents, noting the importance of mutual cooperation in nurturing inclusive growth.
