Cabinet Approves New Deputy Director for Public Identification and Registration Agency
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Somali Cabinet has approved the appointment of Abdirahman Syed Ahmed as the new Deputy Director of the Agency for Identification and Public Registration.
This decision was made during the council’s weekly meeting, chaired by Acting Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Salah Ahmed Jama in Mogadishu.
The proposal for Ahmed’s appointment was put forward by the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation.
During the weekly meeting, the council of ministers also ratified an agreement on economic cooperation and development between Somalia and the People’s Republic of China.
The council also discussed various reports were presented, including updates on security, the process of issuing driving licenses, and the implementation of a recently passed sales tax resolution.
These discussions reflect the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and economic growth.
