Somali Cabinet Approves Establishment of National Security Office

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The federal government of Somalia’s Cabinet Thursday approved the establishment of the National Security Office.

The approval for the National Security Office which was submitted by the Ministry of Internal Security was made during the Council of Ministers’ weekly meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime MinisterSalah Ahmed Jama in Mogadishu.

During the meeting, the Ministries of Internal Security and Defense presented a comprehensive report on the country’s security situation, with a particular focus on the ongoing efforts to eradicate the Khawarij.

On security, the Council of Ministers also reviewed a crucial report from the Ministry of Education.

The report highlighted the current state of education at both basic and higher levels, emphasizing the need for improvements to enhance the quality of education for Somali students.
