Somali Cabinet approves National Independent Electoral Commission and Boundaries Commission

The cabinet ministers of federal government of Somalia in their normal weekly meeting unanimously passed National Independent Electoral Commission and Boundaries Commission.
After the meeting, Somali interior minister Abdirahman Mohamed Hussein told the media that the cabinet discussed a number of issues including two commissions submitted by his ministry.
“My ministry presented 27 member National Independent Electoral Commission & 19 member Boundaries Commission for shortlist and approval, the cabinet members has debated on the issues and they approved 9 member National Independent Electoral Commission and 9 member Boundaries Commission” he said.
The minister read 18 names of both National Independent Electoral Commission and Boundaries Commission members
