Somali comedian Abdi Ajakis known for his Indian movie dubbing has died

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Somali comedian Abdi Muriidi alias Ajakis known for his comical works on Somali radio and TV and dubbing of Indian and Turkish movies into Somali language has died.
Ajakis died in a Mogadishu hospital after a long illness. The cause of his death was however not immediately disclosed.
For about 25 years now, Ajakis has brought laughter to millions of Somalis who have been watching his comedy both on radio and TV.
Ajakis was amojg the founders of Al-Faghi and Imaankey which dubbed Indian movies and in later years included Turkish movies and soap operas.
His contribution to the world of comedy in Somalia will no doubt enter into the annals of history.
