Somali court sentences alleged Al Shabaab member to death

Somali military court has Saturday sentenced one men among several men who appeared before the court to death, another one to 10 years jail term and released one after the court missed full evidence of his case.
some the men were accused of having links with Al-shabab, giving information, protection and hideouts where mostly pleaded guilty.
“The court has sentenced Ahmed Aweys to death, constable Mahat Ahmed has been acquitted in absentia and Abdi Ibrahim Mohmaed has been sentenced to ten years in jail,” Judge Abdirahman Adan read out the ruling.
More suspects are expected to appear before the court soon, as the spokesman for the military court confirmed to the media.
