Somali Custodial Force Celebrates 54 Years of Service

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Somali Custodial Force, tasked with maintaining and safeguarding prisons across the country celebrated its 54th anniversary Thursday.

The Custodial Force was established on February 22, 1970 and has played a pivotal role in maintaining law and order in the country and contributed to rehabilitation of prisoners and improving conditions in prisons across the country.

Speaking during the event in Mogadishu, Custodial Force commander Gen. Mahad Abdirahman Adan lauded the officers for their continued dedication to their duties and wished them prosperity in coming years.

The ceremony was attended by various heads of government agencies including; council of governors, members of the two parliament, the military command and the judiciary.
