Somali delegation meets Somali students in Japan
A delegation led by the deputy minister for planning and international co-operation, Abdullahi Sheikh Ali along with the director of the ministry of planning, director of the ministry of fishing and among government officials have met Somali students of TICAD university in Japan.
The students from the TICAD university, one of the biggest universities in Japan briefed the officials and endorsed the development of the country. The officials gave answers in question sessions of the current situation and national plans for developing the country.
The deputy minister responded to questions concerning the situation of the country. He noted that the country has recovered from years of instability and has been in the process of developing national agencies and investment by returning Somali diaspora.He gave details of the National development plan for the first time in thirty years.
The officials said that preparations for Tokyo international conference on African development is underway that is due to take place in Nairobi on 27 August. The summit will focus on economic growth and education among others.
