Somali Delegation Showcases Tourism Potential at ITB Berlin Conference

GOOBJOOG NEWS | BERLIN: A high-level Somali delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Abdirahman Yusuf Al-Adaala, participated in the prestigious ITB Berlin Annual Conference to promote Somalia’s tourism sector and attract global investors.
The delegation included Somali Ambassador to Germany Abdiasis Farabadane, the Director of the Tourism Department, and other senior officials. Their presence at ITB Berlin, one of the world’s largest tourism trade fairs, highlighted Somalia’s commitment to revitalizing its tourism industry.
As a member of the East African Economic Cooperation Regional Organization, Somalia used the platform to showcase its natural tourism assets, including pristine beaches, historical landmarks, and diverse cultural heritage. The delegation presented detailed reports emphasizing the untapped investment opportunities in the sector, positioning Somalia as a destination with vast potential.
“Somalia is a land of immense natural beauty and cultural richness. Our participation in ITB Berlin is a significant step toward showcasing our potential to the world and attracting international investors to explore opportunities in our tourism sector,” stated Deputy Minister Al-Adaala.
The Somali delegation also held bilateral meetings with representatives from other countries and international organizations, discussing collaborative efforts to promote sustainable tourism and economic development.
