Somali Education Umbrellas oppose the decision of Somali ministry for Education
Somali education umbrellas have opposed the decision of Somali government that the final examinations of the candidates of secondary schools will be set by Somali ministry for education.
Press released by the umbrellas indicate that it is not suitable time for the ministry to set the examinations due to certain reasons to following reasons
• The loose security of the nation
• Lack of proper preparation for national exam.
• Lack of bill of private schools which clarifies they are run and their role.
• Lack of proper national curriculum
• Lack of access areas far from the capital on time
On 14th April this year, Al-Shabaab fighters blasted their way into Somali higher education ministry with a car bomb before storming the building, the attack claimed lives of 15 people 20 others wounded.
