Somali Embassy in Turkey Says Ready to Support Travel of Citizens from Iran

GOOBJOOG NEWS | ANKARA: The Somali embassy in Turkey has urged citizens wishing to leave Iran to contact the embassy for assistance.
The embassy said in a statement Wednesday it was ready to offer assistance to Somali citizens in Iran to leave the country following the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.
“The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Turkey informs Somali citizens in Iran who wish to leave the country due to the ongoing fighting there to contact the embassy for assistance in returning to their country safely,” the statement read.
The embassy said its officials were in coordination with other government agencies to facilitate the exit of nationals from Iran.
This comes amid heightened air conflicts between the two countries which has resulted in deaths and destruction of property.
US president Donald Trump said Tuesday the US and Israel were now in complete control of the Iranian airspace.
