GOOBJOOG NEWS | MUKALLA: Somalia’s embassy in Yemen will soon begin issuing passports and other official documents to Somali citizens in the Hadramout region, Ambassador Abdirahman Mohamed Ahmed said during a visit to the area.

The announcement came during a meeting with members of the Somali community, where the ambassador said the initiative aims to improve access to government services for Somali nationals living in Yemen.

The move is expected to ease administrative procedures for the diaspora by allowing them to obtain essential documentation locally.

The visit also included discussions with community members on issues affecting Somali citizens residing in Yemen and ways the embassy can strengthen support services.

The gathering was organized by Suleeq Omar Ali, who coordinates social and community initiatives for Somali residents in the region.
