GOOBJOOG NEWS | NAIROBI: Somalia’s Ambassador to Kenya, Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, joined Nairobi’s Deputy Governor Njoroge Muchiri at the 5th Annual Somali Night Awards, an event that highlighted the resilience and accomplishments of the Somali community in Kenya.

The ceremony, held in the Kenyan capital, recognized outstanding contributions from Somali entrepreneurs, scholars, artists, and community leaders who are playing key roles in shaping a more inclusive and dynamic society.

“This is more than an award ceremony. It is a celebration of identity, perseverance, and promise,” Ambassador Abdulle said during the event.

Congratulating the honorees, Abdulle urged them to view the recognition not just as a personal milestone, but as motivation to inspire others.

“You are beacons of hope for the next generation. Let this moment propel you to even greater impact,” he said.

The annual awards have become a key platform for showcasing Somali talent and fostering cross-cultural engagement in Nairobi, home to one of the largest Somali diasporas in the region.
