Somali Federal MP Abdikadir Sheikh: Beldwene is Peaceful Enough to Host Elections

Somali Federal MP Abdikadir Sheikh called National Leadership Forum and Indirect Electoral implementation Team to respect the right of Hiiran People to hold  Parliament Houses elections in Beldwene town.

The MP dismissed the concern of Electoral Team on where to hold the elections of the  Federal MPs from Hiiran and Middle Shebelle.

‘ Garowe , Baidoa, and Kismayo are holding elections; Beledwene is secure enough to hold elections, too, People of these two regions want to enjoy the same rights of other regions ’ said, Abdikadir.

The MP said, electoral Team has no authority to decide where to hold elections, noting that only locals have the right to decide this matter.

‘ We do not understand what do they mean elections of Hiiraan and Middle Shebbelle should take place in Mogadishu; people of these two regions have concern, they want elections to take place in their regions’ Said the Mp

The comment of the MP comes amid tense debate on where to hold the election of Hiiraan and Middle Shebelle Federal MPs.
