Somali Foreign Minister Arrives in New Delhi for Arab–India Foreign Ministers Meeting
Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Ali, arrived today in New Delhi, the capital of India, to attend the Arab–India Foreign Ministers meeting.
The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening political dialogue, expanding economic cooperation, and advancing development-oriented partnerships. Somalia is taking part as an active contributor to discussions centered on shared Arab–India interests.Upon his arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, the minister was received by Somalia’s Ambassador to India, Abdullahi Mohamed Odowaa, senior officials from the Somali Embassy in New Delhi, and Dr. Suresh Kumar, representing India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
Minister Abdisalam Ali underscored the importance of the forum for Somalia, noting that it opens new opportunities for enhanced political engagement and economic cooperation.Ambassador Abdullahi Mohamed Odowaa also highlighted the diplomatic significance of the visit, emphasizing its role in deepening bilateral and multilateral ties.
The Arab–India Foreign Ministers meeting is expected to conclude with decisions and understandings aimed at strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
