Somali foreign minister meets UAE ambassador in Mogadishu

Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdusalam Omer has met with Ambassador of the UAE to Somalia Mohammed Ahmed Al Othman on Sunday at the UAE Embassy in Somalia’s capital city, Mogadishu.

The two discussed ways of promoting the strong bilateral relations between Somalia and the UAE in various areas.

The Somali minister stressed that relations with the UAE are historic.

He thanked the UAE for extending unlimited support to Somalia through development projects across the country.

He noted that the UAE also plays a humanitarian role during the month of Ramadan to alleviate the suffering of the Somali people.
