Somali Independent Electoral Commission announces to conduct an election of vacant seats
Somali Independent Electoral Commission has today announced to conduct an election for three vacant seats in the federal parliament of Somalia.
Halima Ismail the Somali Independent Electoral Commission chairman said that the three seats are vacant from Galmudug and Galgaduud states.
Halima the chairman emphasises today that they will conduct an election for the three vacant seats and called the authorities of the administrations to bring MPs to represent them in the federal parliament house.
“The committee will announce the completion of the vacancies for the vacant seat of the Federal Parliament of Somalia by the lawmakers, Hussein Osman, who has left the seat of southwest parliament, Khalif Sheikh Abdikarin, who has quit the seat of the southwest and lawmaker Abdulkadir Gaafo who left the seat of Galmudug.”
Two of the parliamentarians who left their seats were representing the southwest state and the third parliamentarian was representing Galmudug state, and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is now preparing to conduct an election for the three vacancy seat.
