Somali Ministers, UK Envoy Endorse New Stability Fund Plan

GOOBJOOTG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Senior Somali government officials and international partners have endorsed the third-year workplan of the Somalia Stability Fund Phase III, reaffirming their joint commitment to reconciliation and nation-building.
The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, and the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hassan Moallim, co-chaired the High-Level Steering Committee (HLSC) meeting in Mogadishu, alongside British Ambassador to Somalia, Charles King.
The approved workplan outlines key priorities for 2025, focusing on advancing local reconciliation, strengthening federalism, and promoting peace and stability in fragile regions.
Ambassador King reaffirmed the UK’s continued support for Somalia’s peacebuilding journey and underscored the importance of locally led, inclusive processes.
The Somalia Stability Fund, supported by international donors, plays a vital role in supporting grassroots initiatives, conflict resolution, and strengthening institutions in Somalia’s post-conflict recovery.
