Somalia denies claims of second corona virus case

The Ministry of Health has refuted claims of a second case of the novel coronavirus in the country   noting there is no noted case of the virus since the first one last week.

“The Ministry of Health has denied false information circulated on social media in recent hours that another case had been discovered in Mogadishu. There is no other case of coronavirus or suspected case,” the ministry said.

The Ministry, however, noted it was tracking persons who had travelled alongside patient zero into the country last week.

The government of Somalia on Tuesday announced $5 million  allocation to support the fight against the viral infection.
