Somali MP: Federal parliament has the capacity to resolve the rift between the top leaders
A Member of federal parliament of Somalia stated that the federal parliament ready start mediation to solve the row between the top leaders of Somalia.
Mohamed Idle Geedi, the chairman of the parliamentary Finance Committee described the dispute between president Hassan Sheikh and PM Abdiweli as unfortunate adding that it can bring to a standstill the progress and the achievements of the government.
He called the leaders to consider the delay their argument might cause to the activities and tasks ahead andurged them to immediately solve their difference through dialogue and compromise.
Finally the MP said the federal parliament has the capacity to resolve the rift between the leaders without calling international community’s intervention to end the discord.
A statement from the house of people of federal republic of Somalia after the rift between the leaders indicated that the parliament is confident that any dispute or differences of opinion between the top leader can be resolved within the federal government institutions in accordance to the provincial constitution of the country without any setbacks to the day-to-day affairs of the state.
