Somali National Army, Jubbaland Forces Kill 27 Al-Shabaab Fighters in Jubba Regions Operation

GOOBJOOG NEWS| MIDDLE JUBA: The Somali National Army (SNA), in coordination with Jubbaland’s Darawish forces, carried out large-scale military operations in parts of Lower and Middle Jubba regions.
The operations were conducted in areas under Jilib, Xagar, and Afmadow districts, targeting Al-Shabaab positions in several villages, including Waraha Qalley, Farshabeel, Jigees, Qaawiley, and Weelmaarow.
During the operation, troops destroyed multiple militant hideouts and inflicted casualties on Al-Shabaab fighters. According to reports, at least 27 militants were killed, while several key members of the group were captured.
Security forces also seized a cache of weapons and military equipment, including BKM machine guns, RPG launchers, AK-47 rifles, and landmines that the group allegedly intended to use against civilians.
The Somali National Army said the operations are part of ongoing efforts to eliminate Al-Shabaab and ensure security, stability, and the protection of civilians in the Jubba regions.
