NIEC, UN engage on 2020/2021 elections

The Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission with Deputy UN special representative for Somalia held a meeting in Mogadishu over 2020/2021 election ahead.

The meeting was part of a regular exchange of information about the planned 2020 vote and much of the focus was on electoral matters with the schedule plan.

The meeting also attended by the Somalia supporters and world donors engaging the process, budget and the main points of the vote in the election law including the representation of women.

the 2020 election appears in the absence of the regional government and the federal government agreement alongside with general security installation in the country will be alarming points to make the effort both parties better before election poll.
