Somali parliament grill Prime minster and intelligence chief over the National Security
Somali Federal Parliament today grilled prime minister and National intelligence chief in closed session that took 8 hours.
Prime minister omar Abdirashid requested Parliament leadership to question along with intelligence chief in closed door session. Members of Federal Parliament protested the request but they were later defeated in vote.
Source close to house revealed that parliament asked intelligence chief to resign and called the prime minister to relief security minister and police chief from their posts.
Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid is again scheduled to continue answering questions that relate security and the performance of security institution on Thursday.
Federal parliament prompted by the deteriorating security situation in the capital Mogadishu want a change in the security sector leadership.
