Somali parliament speaker to meet pro-impeachment MPs

Somali federal parliament speaker Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari and pro-impeachment MPs are expected have meeting on Tuesday at Villa Hargeissa.

In a statement issued from the office the speaker called the MPs who submitted the impeachment motion against the president to turn up a meeting organized by the speaker.

“I would like to inform all pro-impeachment MPs who submitted the motion against the president to the office of the speaker to attend the second phase of consultative meeting which will kick off at 11:00 AM at the speaker’s office in Villa Hargeisa” says the statement.

This comes three days after first phase consultative meeting attended by Somali prime minister Omar Abdirashid, Federal parliament Mohamed Osman and twelve pro-impeachment MPs have further split the pro-impeachment federal parliamentarians.
