Somali parliament wants chief intelligence and security minister to answer National Security Questions
Members of Somali Federal parliament challenged today’s parliament agenda and instead asked parliament leadership to call security minister Abdirzaq Omar Mohammad and Somali National Intelligence chief Abdirhan Turiye to answer necessary questions of the “repeated national security breaches” as they said.
Dozens of Federal MPs challenged Parliament leadership today’s proposed agenda to proceed questioning about the National security issues to security minister and chief intelligence.
In letter to the Federal Parliament security minister requested the House to postpone the questioning session to 25th of April.
Many MPs ridiculed the request and called it cheap justification to escape many essential national security questions.
Meanwhile prominent MP Mohmmad Abdi Yusuf accused the president and Parliament leadership for infringing the immunity of Somali People’s House members.
