GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The speakers of Somalia’s two parliamentary chambers met on Monday to strengthen legislative coordination and accelerate work on critical national reforms, underscoring a renewed commitment to inter-chamber collaboration.
Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), Speaker of the House of the People, and Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, Speaker of the Upper House, discussed strategies to streamline cooperation on pending legislation and advance priority bills vital to Somalia’s state-building efforts.
Both leaders stressed the urgency of aligning efforts as the 11th Parliament faces a broad and ambitious legislative agenda aimed at deepening governance, strengthening institutions, and advancing Somalia’s democratic transition.
